“The Growing Church”
Many people tend to look at the success of a church by how big or small it is - both physically and numerically. However, there is a lot more to the a "successful" church than just how large it is. According to the Bible, there are certain key characteristics of a local body of believers that should be present to indicate the overall health of a church. These principles must also be applied to our own personal lives, seeing as how WE ourselves make up Jesus' body.
Reflection Questions:
1. Out of the nine "growth indicators" that Pastor Chad listed, which of them do you think you are mature in? Which of them do you feel you need more growth in?
2. Why is it so important to find & stick with one church/body of believers? What can tend to happen in our lives when we jump from church to church?
3. Is there anything that you own that you couldn't imagine "giving away?" If so, repent & confess that to the Lord. Ask Him TODAY to satisfy EVERY area of your life with Himself and to help limit or get rid of anything that you tend to idolize.
