“The Real Thing” Philippians 1;1-11

Have you ever bought a product that you thought was genuine and then later you found out it was fake or a counterfeit? That feeling never sits well in our stomachs because no one likes to be deceived or tricked when it comes to authenticity. The same goes for our walks with Christ - God wants us to be sincere and completely devoted to Him and to produce fruits that display His glory. When talking about authentic conversion, there are certain unmistakable characteristics and attributes that we should pursue and rejoice in.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How does it make you feel that the process of "sanctification" (becoming more like Jesus) is gradual and not an overnight process?

  2. Before you met Jesus, what things were you chasing after that you thought would satisfy? Now that you have met Jesus, what things do you now find pleasure in?

  3. Do you ever struggle with feeling "fake" in your walk with Jesus? God knows our intentions and simply just wants our heart. Don't hide anything from Him anymore and talk with Him TODAY. Ask Him to help you be REAL and transparent in your relationship with Him from this day forward.
